Hawzah News Agency- (Northern Khorasan, Iran) – In an interview with Hawzah News' correspondent in Iranian province of Northern Khorasan, Hujjat al-Islam Abolqassim Yaqoubi, a senior Shia cleric, made some remarks regarding the 6th round of conference on Islamic Unity against Takfirism which is being held in the city of Bojnord saying,” ISIS and takfiris’ atrocities have nothing to do with genuine Islam and Quranic teachings.”
The Iranian cleric then stressed that unity among Sunni and Shia scholars is the only way to uproot takfiri thoughts and ideology; he added, “Muslim scholars must not be ignorant of this crisis. This is every Muslim’s duty to stand united together and fight takfiri ideology and extremist thoughts in order to promote the true Islam in the whole world.”
Referring to the 6th round of conference on Islamic Unity against Takfirism in Northern Khorasan province he concluded, “Holding such conferences provides a great opportunity for Muslim scholars from different countries to discuss appropriate solutions in order to save the Muslim community in the face of Takfirism.”
